Adding Interest to Your Pakistani Culture Essay
Adding Interest to Your Pakistani Culture EssayOf all the topics of discussion in Pakistani culture essays, there are a few that should be of particular interest to students who wish to create an interest in their subject. One such topic of discussion is the Hindu-Muslim controversy. Since this article is being written on behalf of Pakistanis, it is important to introduce some people who are currently facing such controversies. The Misnomer: It is now well known that Salman Rushdie has been the subject of controversy for a number of years. He is a practicing Muslim and yet is accused of making derogatory remarks about certain aspects of their religion. In his case, the accusation has been mostly based upon his work 'The Satanic Verses'. For example, there are those who believe that his book was a lie or was intended as a tool to promote anti-Islamic beliefs among the youth of the world.Another author who has attracted the attention of a large section of the Pakistani population is Abd ul Sattar Edhi, who has been the recipient of awards from the government of Pakistan and the United Nations, as well as a religious leader in the country's culture and society. Edhi is credited with introducing modern day health care methods, among other things. This has led to a great deal of controversy and division within the country's culture and society. Both authors have been targeted for political reasons, however there is little to no evidence of any mental distress, or any controversy over their activities. In fact, both have done wonderful things for the betterment of their country.Another controversy has emerged around one such writer, Shahzad Akbar, who has written several books on the stories of people from different backgrounds. These include stories from Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Christians and Muslims. This has led to the belief that Akbar is trying to promote a particular belief system. However, there is little evidence to support this and social criticisms regardi ng Akbar have been far from him being anti-Islamic. In fact, as mentioned above, he has promoted many good ideas in Pakistan's culture and society, but he has also been in the crosshairs of the media for having public criticisms about specific aspects of their religion. The Cause: There is no question about Akbar's writings, and they are very important for those who wish to explore the political correctness and proper application of Islam. But these writings will not necessarily trigger a scandal, if they fall into the category of eulogies, or obituaries. Akbar will likely remain at the center of controversy, but he should not be considered to be the cause of the problem. The reason is because he is a person who has written on the issues that are currently playing out in the world of politics and social correctness. He is also not some sort of 'villain' in the eyes of many, because he has only advocated liberal ideas for a better society.
